This week, we had to create a 10-30 second bumper for DS106 Radio. I created this bumper using audacity. I used 2 sounds from freesongs.org and a recording of my own voice to make it. I’m not sure how to describe the sound it starts with, but the thought that I had was to slowly bring listeners in instead of a loud beginning. To me, it sounds like a soft rumble almost like thunder (Weather Woman spreading her influence?)Then I put my own voice with the station name with an echo effect. Finally, I ended it with a flash speed sound to fit into out superhero theme for this semester. However, I also think it could be used out of the superhero context and still work for the site.
